    I’m always amazed by how bright and clear the stars and planets appear in Prince Edward Island. I took this one on July 19, 2012, near New London. This is a bit of a self-portrait. I opened the shutter, walked into the bottom of the frame, painted the grass and my body with light from a little flashlight, then walked back to the camera in the dark and closed the shutter. It was a 58-second exposure. Check out the Milky Way!
